young tim livith

waaaaaaay back at the rag sauber nighted me as young tim. at the final buck hill race of the season some kid asked me what grade i was in...dam. do i really look that young? the response no grade. any way here is how the week went down..

tuesday. lama rama ride to leb from bloomington. crashed on a riddle and tore my soles off. trying not to be like moore at all speed and no skills. found some tape, and hammered home. 35miles with have a shoe!

Thursday, buck backwards. so awesome. best race of the season chasing bauer and oleson until OTB with a handlebar to post incident. chased above mentioned sauber, couldn't loose to a fat  bike, but still lost.

Sunday, River Falls.. got lost  warming up with reece oleson in riverfalls made it back just in time for the super fast roll out. the climbs were awesome, the single track bitchin, and the flow there makes cuyuna look as lame as it is.had a bad start and then put the hammer down, to be caught up in traffic. got through the jam and let it down, chased hard and had some dam good racing with the LGR boys. and by dam good i mean dam fucking awesome racing. and the finish was so close. the podium was way out of the question, but look at this, 4-7 coming in with in a few seconds of each other in class and taking 27-30 solid. that is what racing is about. the push and the chase....

hopefully going 1x10 this week just in time for some redemption at du lac...

long week

its been an exhausting week. last sunday was the state race at buck hill. rode like crap, finished 12th over all. Monday I started as a detail design drafter at toro, working 6:30am -4pm. 4:45 had me back at the bike shop. rode hard on tuesday with james, did the double wed, raced buck again on thursday and had the best race of the season setting a personal best of 57min and some change. did the double again on friday and squeaked in a ride at leb. worked all day sat at the bike shop. then with absolutely no gas in the tank tried to race today in the state race at hillside. it was horrible, i won a set of x9 2x10 shifters though. so i was happy. this week should be better. but who knows. later....

stepping down

Well Im stepping down from a full time bike mechanic to a full time detail design drafter on monday. I'll still be picking up 15hrs a week or so at eriks, but we will see how long that lasts. Im getting pretty brunt of the place. The treatment of employees with in the company is an absolute joke. Any way finally got the caffeine set up tubeless with some new Rager 29-1 tires. the cornering grip is really impressive looking forward to racing them 2x this week at buck hill, as I get the double dose of Thursday nights and mnmtb series taking place at that venue.

rest days

Well this is by far the season that ive ridden the most, and I just feel like I dont have any kick at all right now. Buck hill was tough last night and while I had a really good start I just kept getting dropped. Started on the first row and finished 29th. Wasn't a great finish, but not horrible either, I just had zero go juice in it. So im gonna take a few days off of the bike. Let the legs recover, eat healthy and come back hard next week. Enjoy the weekend I know I will be.
